US President Donald Trump has warned the country to brace for a lot of deaths in the coming week, as the coronavirus pandemic worsens there.
Trump said at a daily briefing on Saturday that the country is heading into “one of the toughest weeks” of the outbreak. He added there’s going to be a lot of deaths unfortunately.
The president urged people to continue following national guidelines, such as by refraining from outings and practicing social distancing to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
He called the fight against the virus the patriotic duty of the people.Trump said he had ordered the military to send 1,000 personnel, including doctors and nurses, to New York City, the current epicenter of the US outbreak.
